JobNab Introduces New Professional Reference Tool for Job Seekers
Responding to a need for job seekers to have references that can be linked from online applications and resumes, JobNab has provided an employer reference tool free to all users of the JobNab website.
ORLANDO, FL, November 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- JobNab has added a new tool to its service that assists job seekers provide personal and professional references to prospective employers. The Social Reference Score (SRS) is a cumulative average of the ten best references that can be sent to any employer as part of the application or interview process - even for jobs that aren't found through the JobNab system.
The SRS is tabulated on a profile page that can be linked from users' resumes or applications so that employers can immediately see their value as an employee. The user's references need only to provide one recommendation instead of being called by each employer who is considering the candidate, increasing the applicants chances of friends and colleagues agreeing to offer references.
Each reference will be asked several questions about their knowledge of the user, which will be used to calculate the final score. During registration, users select up to 12 people that will provide excellent references, although only the top 10 will count towards the score.
"The SRS is the answer to the new millennium job search problem," company spokesperson Finn Banks said. "Too much of how people apply for jobs is rooted in the paper pushing traditions of twenty years ago. We wanted to create a way for our users to distribute their references electronically, but delivered in a way that was as instant as all information is on the Internet. Employers can see the applicant's value as an employee in one simple number. If they want to explore the applicant further, testimonials and contact information is just one click away. It's fast and it's immediate."
The SRS is a free service for all JobNab users, which also offers free registration at jobnab.com. Setting up the SRS is part of the registration process.
As well as providing a score, references may also leave brief testimonials for the candidate. If employers want to contact any of the references, those who choose to provide their details may be contacted.
